Choose the type of app first

Indian astrology apps fall into three groups. Marketplaces connect you to human astrologers at a per-minute rate. AI apps answer in writing or by voice, usually charging per question or through coins. Report apps sell a written reading for a one-time payment.

For a conversation with someone who listens, a marketplace makes sense. An AI app suits a question late at night, especially one you hesitate to ask a stranger. A report gives you a reading to keep and return to.

What each app costs

On marketplaces, each astrologer sets a rate. The same question can cost different amounts depending on whom you ask. The table gives rates from each app's own pages on the day checked. Work out the likely minutes before a paid call.

Some AI apps charge per question. Others use coins or monthly plans. Check the follow-up price too. An answer about shaadi may leave you wanting to ask about timing.

Free options worth using first

Most of these apps offer free kundli and matching. Astrotalk and Astroyogi list a first free consultation or chat for new users. InstaAstro lists a first consultation at ₹1. These offers change, so check in the app before starting.

Which app suits which question

When two families are deciding on a marriage, many people prefer speaking to a human astrologer. AI apps cost less for frequent questions about work or a relationship. If you only need a match score, a free tool gives it in a minute.

Where Bansi fits

  • You want to ask at a fixed ₹10 per question, without watching a timer.
  • You want the reasons explained. You ask in English or Hindi, including Hinglish.

Where Bansi falls short

  • You want to speak to a human astrologer. Bansi answers through AI.
  • Bansi is new, with 500+ installs and 10 ratings on Play. The larger apps have reviews going back years.
  • You need an iPhone app or a regional language beyond Hindi. Bansi does not offer these yet.

How we chose

We started from apps that appeared in Google Play and Google search for these terms in India, kept those we could check on their own site or listing, and sorted by Play installs. Nobody paid to appear. We leave out apps we could not verify, and we give no scores because we did not test every app the same way.

Common questions

Which is the best astrology app in India?

No single astrology app is best for everyone in India. Astrotalk has the most installs among the apps checked here and suits a conversation with a human astrologer. AstroSage suits you if you want free tools.

Which astrology app is free?

AstroSage and Clickastro list free kundli and other tools, as does MyNaksh. Most apps here also offer free kundli matching. Consultations and detailed answers cost money on all of them.

Are astrology apps accurate?

No astrology app can prove that its predictions are accurate. An accuracy percentage is worth questioning. Look for an explanation you can follow, so you know how the app reached its answer.
